Joey Curtin began her musical career in the San Francisco Bay area. She has performed at the Sheraton Palace, Union Square, the Stonestown Galleria, the Ahwahnee Hotel and the Olympic Village Inn at Squaw Valley. Her cd "RIVER OF LIFE" is featured at the ANSEL ADAMS GALLERY in California.
Internationally, Joey has traveled to Ireland, Scotland, Italy, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, and Ethiopia to perform and speak. Her music has been part of Peace/Reconciliation meetings in Northern Ireland.
Jennifer Haines: One day I was sitting at the piano with my, then, two year old daughter Naomi. Naomi was patting at the keys and stumbled across a succession of notes that I really liked. I wrote a song around those notes right then and there. It just happened. Everything that I had been taught and experienced over the years was poured out into that song and it was an amazing experience. I've been composing and arranging songs almost non-stop since that day and enjoying every minute of it!
